Eddie Curiel Jr has been a Zumba instructor since 2020. He founded Dance N Tone and became an instructor so that he could share the joy of working out to salsa, bachata, and other fun music with everyone. Now, Eddie runs classes at Gold’s Gym and LA Fitness, helping others to transform and have fun on their journey to achieving their fitness goals.
The Challenge
Design
Dance N Tone needed a website that not only had to be simple, accessible, and functional, but also needed to exude a certain 'Personality' that users could identify with. The key was to design a trendy site that was clean and minimal.
Development
WordPress offered a very adaptable and economical solution for our client that came with several advantages like mobile-responsive themes and powerful SEO plug-ins. Our goal was to create a website that most reflected our client's energy, warmth and friendliness.

Making Right Design Choices
Our team designed the website keeping the client's requirements as well as constraints in mind. Ease-of-updating, security, loading speeds, and costs were some of the major issues we successfully tackled during the project.
Customization
Even though WordPress at it's core is minimal, it has a lot of cutomization options. Taking advantage of this feature, we built from scratch a unique one of a kind website for our client.
Our Process
Research & Analysis
We conducted a study of dance-focused fitness programs and their instructors' websites. This helped us to identify our target users and better understand our client's requirements.
Designing
Our team designed the web pages from scratch; starting with rough sketches, working through interactive Mid-Fidelity, and then Hi-Fidelity prototypes.
Developing
Developing our design with WordPress required a lot of customization due to the minimal nature of the WP theme, but we were able to build a unique website and achieve our client's goals.
Validating
Our design was validated by users who tested out our prototypes and iterations, and by the client who was very pleased with the final developed website.
The Impact
Gained New Students/Clients
Eddie's business grew! He got more inquiries and new students because of the web presence that had a more substantial reach than just word-of-mouth referrals.
Increased Lead Retention
The website also provided our client with a means to retain leads in the form of email addresses. Asking for feedback or following up with offers to potential leads also helped improve the conversion rate.
